Anniversary Card...
Back in June Scott and I celebrated 1 year of dating and I made him this card and sent it to him. I wish they didn't retire the Blueberry paper from last year, I really liked it a lot and I didn't get to work with it a lot. Oh well. Short post today, I haven't been feeling well the past 2 days and just wanted to share a card.

Happy Halloween
This is the card that I made for my monthly card swap. This month's choices were Halloween, Friendship or Kid's birthday. So I picked the Halloween. I think it turned our really sweet. I used the watercolor pensils to color her in with and to set the color I sprayed it with hairspray. This locks int he color and keeps it from smeering. I am a huge fan of the black border punch on here too, I really think that it is my new favorite punch.
Working this week on some new Christmas cards from the new Holiday Mini, so don't forget to stop back by later this week to see a sneek peak at the new stamp sets that will be available as on 9/1/11.

My nephew's birthday card
Well my nephew Shaun turned 13 yesterday and I can't believe that 13 years have passed already. He is a super tall kid, he is already taller then me. Anyway here is the card that I made for him. This is a "funky" folded card, I love it because it's almost like a pop up card. It is really easy to make too. Hope you enjoy it.

Dear Friend's birthday...
Well I have another friend who is celebrating a birthday this week and I of course had to make her a card. It is funny because I have known her now for 17 years and in that time she has only aged by 2 years...lol. She is a wonderful friend and even though I don't get to talk to her everyday, I know she is always just a phone call away. So Joyce if you are reading this...Happy Birthday again and thanks for being my friend. Love ya lady.
So here is the card that I made for her, it is from the Friends 24-7 set and I love the way it turned out. I used a differnt fold. I made the paper 5 1/2 by 10" and scored it at 2" and 6 1/4". I used Calypso Coral and Pool Party as my card stock and I used Island Indigo as my ink and Island Indigo ribbon.

out of the loop...
Sorry about that, got busy doing other things and forgot to post. Not sure who is acutally checking this each day but either way, I am posting. My son Jonathan came home for leave from the Marine Corps and he is with me now visiting. Beach day tomorrow. I am looking forward to spending time with him before he has to go back on Monday.
I love the shodowing on this card, I think it is so cool the way it turned out. This is a really nice stamp set that is in the new Idea Book. I am so happy I purchaced this set. I am sure it will get a lot of use in the days to come...lol.

Day of Rest......
Not really, I have to work
today from 4pm to 12am and I am sitting here thinking that I really need to go over to my bookselves where I keep my stamps and organize them a little better. I went to Walmart today and bought some colored dots to label my stamp sets with a colored "R" so that I know which ones are retired and which ones are not. I do card swaps and you must always use the currant stamp sets and this will just save me some time. I also need to get a personal catalog together of all my sets so I know what I have and what I still want. I just don't have the energy today though...lol. I just want to sleep.
Onto today's card...This is a card that I made for my friend Beth. Beth had to say goodbye to her sweet T.C. last week and I wanted Beth to know that I was thinking of her. I know she loved that cat and how sad she feels, so I am hoping this will send a little sunshine in her life.
For this card I used a piece of 12 x 12 ivory card stock that I cut at 5 1/2" x 12", I scored it at 3 3/4" and again at 8", so I made it a trifold card. I used the Wisteria Wonder DSP to over the outsde of the card and then since I had a small 1/4" to use on the first inside flap I told the matching Wisteria Wonder ribbon and just ran it down the side (you can't see that in this picture). I punched out a whole in the 1st fold and stamped the cat from the "C" is for Cat stamp sent on the inside. I then used the scallop circle punch and the 1 3/8" circle punch for the scallop around the cat. I also used the scallop circle punch the 1 3/8" and the 1 3/4" for the "C" is for Cat stamp. I think it turned out really well. I know she will enjoy getting this in the mail on Tuesday.

Happy Birthday Aunt Jane
This Wednesday one of the greatest ladies I know will be turning 80. She has always been someone who I could turn to when I needed advise or just to hear the words "I Love You". This is my dad's sister and she is truly an amazing lady.
She loves my cards and loves strawberries, so I used the Berry Blossoms DSP for the background and then used the Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the "Wish Big". I hope she will love it as much as I loved making it for her.
